| Sunrise over Grand Travese Bay.
The large white pine that blocks the sun is probably about 400 years old based on the rings in a neighboring tree that was was blown down in a storm. The branch was killed by lightening a couple of years ago, but my mother couldn't bear to cut it, remembering the very graceful form that she had grown up with. But perhaps this is the year it will be removed. |
